How can I show custom messages after answers?

Hosts can set custom answer explanation messages for Live Engagements, Trivia, and Multiple Choice questions with a correct answer. These messages are displayed immediately after a participant submits an answer.

Hosts can configure:

• A message for correct answers (e.g. “Great job!”)
• A message for incorrect answers (e.g. “Wrong – try again next time!”)
• An optional link with a custom label (e.g. “Check it out”) that redirects participants to additional content or a specific page

The appropriate message and link are shown in real time after each response. This allows hosts to provide instant feedback and guide participants to relevant content during the engagement.

How to set up answer explanations:

Go to your Engagement and click Edit Poll. Click Next to open the Engagement Data section.

Set a correct answer, then click the gear icon next to the Multiple Choice or Open-Ended question.

Enable Answer Explanations, then configure the following:

• Message for correct answer - Text displayed when the participant selects the correct answer
• Message for incorrect answer - Text displayed when the participant selects a wrong answer
• External link (optional) - Link to an external resource for additional context
• External link label (optional) - Custom label for the link button
