Text message voting not working? Here’s what to check

Learn what to check if text message voting suddenly stops working.

If your text message voting feature suddenly stops working, there are two common reasons why this may be happening:

Your account may have expired

When your account expires, text message voting becomes unavailable. Any polls that rely solely on text message voting won’t be able to activate until your account is upgraded.

To restore access, upgrade to any of our paid plans that include text message voting. Once your plan is active, text message voting will be re-enabled, and your existing polls will work again.

If you have a one-time plan, it will expire after the set end date.

If you're on a recurring plan, it renews automatically, unless there’s a payment issue. We’ll notify you one week before your renewal date.

Your phone number may not have reactivated after an upgrade

In some cases, after upgrading your account, your dedicated phone number may not reactivate automatically. This means text message voting will not work even though your plan is active.

This is a known issue that can be quickly resolved.
